HALO 2 MIDNIGHT FIESTA

'Twas the stroke of midnight, November 9, 2004. The sequel to the sleeper hit videogame "Halo" was about to be released, so Shawn and I decided to join the fun. Look at all those people who camped out for this game! You'd think this was a new "Tetris" sequel or something.

Many stores offered sideshow entertainment for those waiting in line. This store in Santee was no exception, as they featured the duo of a white kid rapping and a guy who sat on boxes.

Watch out guys, someone's car's gonna get jacked! Ha ha, just kidding, it's cardboard, silly!

We somehow managed to cut everyone in line, so once we got in we decided it would be extra funny to cancel our Halo preorder and pick up "Emma" on DVD instead. Management was not amused.

Once the employees saw through our whimsy, we finally got a special edition copy of the game, which Shawn promptly flaunted for the impatient public outside.

We then found out that people who have been waiting 4 hours for a game don't like it when you pretend to not want the game and slam it on the ground.

Man, we are idiots.

Fun night!
